Membership Committee Update
Updated April 1, 2008

Member Surveys
With the help of Prince Market Research Company we have completed the survey of our Membership.  Special thanks to all those that participated and completed the survey!!
The results will be presented to the Board of Directors at the April meeting.

Join or Mailing list
GUESTS are ALWAYS Welcome. If you are not a member but would like to be in the loop on our upcoming events, please join our mailing list. Send your information to info@naf.net.

The guest fee will be waived for all guests that join NAF at any of our events

Volunteer Opportunity
We want to have a hospitality person available to greet people at our events and to help with follow up afterwards. We are asking for volunteers to help with this. You do not need to commit to all events. If you would be interested in volunteering please contact Jennifer@jewishnashville.org

New Membership Information
By now all current members should have received the new membership packet which includes a current membership directory.  The directory will be updated every year.

Renewal Reminders
The membership committee discovered that sometimes members simply forget to renew, so we have implemented a more rigorous reminder system.  As usual the NAF office will mail you several reminders. We will also follow up personally via phone and email.

Why should you be a member of NAF?

As the “Unifying Voice for Advertising,” the American Advertising Federation (AAF), headquartered in Washington, D.C., is the trade association that represents 50,000 professionals in the advertising industry. AAF has a national network of 210 ad clubs and connects the industry with an academic base through its 210 college chapters.

The NAF is a part of all this.

AAF Mission

The American Advertising Federation protects and promotes the well-being of advertising. We accomplish this through a unique, nationally coordinated grassroots network of advertisers, agencies, media companies, local advertising clubs and college chapters.

Here’s what the national AAF and your local NAF does:

* Brings members together to yield creative business solutions.
* Protects and promotes advertising at all levels of government through grassroots activities.
* Educates members on the latest trends in technology, creativity and marketing.
* Provides programs to assist local association volunteer leadership.
* Presents the industry with its future leaders.
* Honors advertising and design excellence.
* Promotes diversity in advertising by encouraging the recruitment of people of diverse cultures.
* Applies the communication skills of its members to help solve community concerns.

To accomplish our objectives, AAF initiatives include the following:

* AAF National Conference
* Advertising Hall of Fame
* Advertising Hall of Achievement
* ADDY® Awards
* Government Affairs Conference
* Great Brands Campaign
* Mosaic Awards
* Mosaic Career Fairs
* Most Promising Minority Students Program
* National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC)
* Mosaic Principles & Recommended Practices
