About NAF, About You

Why should you be a member of NAF?

The mission of the Nashville Advertising Federation is to expose members to visionary issues relative to the advertising/communications industry while creating opportunities for networking, learning, service and individual recognition.

In other words, our mission is to support you, the advertising and design community in Nashville.

NAF looks at the big picture and is integrated at the local, district and national levels. We bring you the ADDY® Awards, top industry speakers, networking opportunities, educational benefits and scholarships, community service and a voice for businesses both large and small.

As an NAF member you get access to professional resources throughout the U.S., discounts on trade publications, insurance and much more through the American Advertising Federation (AAF). As the “Unifying Voice for Advertising,” the AAF, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is the trade association that represents 50,000 professionals in the advertising industry. AAF has a national network of 210 ad clubs and connects the industry with an academic base through its 210 college chapters.

NAF Member spotlight

Heather Garcia

Meet Heather Garcia.

Currently, agency manager at Imagewest - Western Kentucky University’s Student-Run Advertising and Public Relations Agency. Imagewest is one-of-a-kind and the only one in the nation.

Check out our superfantabulous students and work at www.wku.edu/imagewest. This summer we are going abroad to Malaysia to work with a client. The agency has been open for 4 years. So far over 120 students have participated and we have worked with over 125 different clients. A portion of the money we make goes towards student scholarships, travel, training and programs.

    2003 - Present
    Originally from San Diego - my old surf board hangs in our office
  • 1998 WKU Graduate - Advertising - Major/Marketing - Minor
    Worked at an advertising agency in Nashville for 4 years as VP Client Relations
    Worked with international clients in Antwerp, Belgium to national retail chains such as Service Merchandise and Sam's Club. Local clients: Nashville's Farmers Market and Nashville Convention & Visitor's Bureau.
  • Entrepreneur, Small Business Owner – Blue Moon Antique Market, Franklin KY and Schuga Properties
  • Involved with NAF for 4 years. Chair and co-chair of Addys. Board Member - 3 year term. (I am an illegal in this district, but rather participate in Nashville than Louisville:)
  • I have met so many wonderfully talented people through NAF. It's fun to network with various people in the industry and make new friends. The luncheons are delicious and I always take away something new and interesting to share with my students.
