In-House Ad Agency Director

Praxis Communications, Inc. is a growing marketing communications agency in the Nashville, TN area that specializes in programs designed to recruit patients for clinical trials for leading pharmaceutical companies across the nation.  

Praxis is searching for an experienced, resourceful, independent individual to lead the development of a new in-house agency type of department to service the business development and the operations teams.  This person will have over 10 years experience in working at an advertising agency or comparable full service in-house agency department.  First hand working experience in marketing research, national media buying, and print production are required.  The right person for this position will also be a proven strong leader.   

Primary responsibilities of this position include implementing the acquisition of the resources needed to identify target audiences for marketing programs; media planning; and coordination/execution of media buys.  Coordinating with key senior staff to develop an implementation plan for a fully functioning department that serves the needs of the business development and operations teams.  This includes identifying resources, drafting processes and vendor management.  And finally, implement the plan and manage the new department.

Experience/Minimum Requirements: 

• 10 years experience in marketing at an agency
• 5+ years Media Planning/Buying
• Experience with a wide variety of marketing communications tactics
• Advanced in the use of Microsoft Office products
• 4 year college degree in Marketing or Business
• Retail and healthcare marketing experience is preferred
• International marketing and media experience a plus.
